Thanks Ashley for the link. I am not as familiar with this case but it also highlights some key differences between Canadian and American justice systems. Interesting that in Arizona only juries can hand down a death sentence. Why do you suppose that is? In Canada, judges decide sentences and juries decide verdicts. Which do you think is better?
